Antivirus and anti-malware applications
I’ve came to the conclusion that antivirus applications are useless. every computer i come in contact with to give service to is always infected in some way. People are too reliant on these applications which I’ve found give us all a false senses of security.
These applications do nothing but slow your system down and entice you to keep renewing useless subscriptions. I'm offering training for windows users to teach them good habits and to use free and open software. Their investment is getting into a good routine that won't cost them in the long run.

No data loss ever again!
The key is to develop a good habit of backing your systems up! Most of the time I hear complaints about computer companies just deleting everything then reinstalling the operating system. What I like to do to keep that from happening is to help my clients form good data backup habits. Backing up everything, then storing those backups as data archives "off site" for the first time is the first thing they should do after they have reinstalled their operating system. Doing a full windows update is the second thing. This is followed by an incremental backup (changed files) of their entire system every 6 hours. Or every 3 hours if they're doing something that is urgent. I use Norton Ghost 9.0 to achieve the desired results in preventing all data loss. I would put the tutorial up about Ghost, but google has plenty out there for you to use.
For temporary work, they should never save any "work in progress" on their main operating systems hard drive!
Remember, The stability of your system is a contributing factor in maintaining true "wide open" speed and efficency of you computer.
